Our project aims to create a unique line of playing card decks for Royal Enfield, drawing inspiration from the rich history of Indian dynasties. Each suite represents a different era, from Rajput to British, reflecting the diverse cultural influences on Royal Enfield motorcycles. The packaging design pays homage to vintage aesthetics, uniting these disparate elements into a cohesive whole.
Problem Statement
Royal Enfield seeks to celebrate its heritage by offering a distinctive product that merges the legacy of Indian dynasties with the iconic image of their motorcycles. The challenge lies in creating playing cards that authentically capture the essence of each era while maintaining a cohesive design language and packaging that reflects the brand’s vintage appeal.
Our Approach
To address this challenge, we conducted extensive research on the history of Indian dynasties and Royal Enfield motorcycles. We meticulously designed each suite—Rajput, Maratha, Mughal, and British—to reflect the unique characteristics of its respective era, including clothing, accessories, and cultural motifs. Our packaging design draws inspiration from vintage matchboxes of the 1950s, symbolizing the convergence of these diverse influences into a unified brand identity. Through careful attention to detail and a commitment to authenticity, we aim to create a product that embodies the enduring legacy of Royal Enfield.
