Project Overview

Emote is a groundbreaking venture by Kyoorius, blending the tactile appeal of uncoated paper with the performance of coated paper. Our task was to craft its inaugural catalog, aiming to evoke emotions through imagery. With 15 years of distributing premium papers, Kyoorius expands its horizons into the realm of emotional communication.

Problem Statement

Traditional methods of paper marketing often lack emotional resonance, failing to captivate the design and communication community. Emote+ sought to bridge this gap by infusing fine paper with emotions, yet conveying these sentiments effectively through visual mediums presented a challenge. How could we translate primal emotions into tangible imagery that resonates with the audience?

Our Approach

To address the challenge, we embarked on an exploratory journey, leveraging macro photography to unveil hidden emotions within everyday textures and colors. Our approach focused on distilling primal sentiments into 8 distinct emotions, carefully selected from a pool of 20 images. By imbuing the catalog with these emotions, we aimed to forge a deep and lasting connection between the audience and Emote’s innovative paper offerings.
